Sandy Court is a service for up to 36 people with Mental Health Disorders, Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Autism, or other Complex Care needs. We support people with a person-centred approach utilising care or recovery models or enablement as appropriate. We are situated in Ossett, which is a vibrant busy town with a range of shops and entertainment on our doorstep.

As a new edition to The Hennessy Partnership, Our newly refurbished Sandy court is now open to enquiries & admissions. We pride ourselves with upskilled, competent, and compassionate staff who have skills and specialist knowledge to support people with complex behavioural challenges through a positive behavioural support framework. Our in house clinical Psychologist, clinical lead & Therapy team, lead and support the homes to achieve the best outcome for each individual resident. We celebrate individuality to gain the best possible outcomes.

We have a therapy team and a Positive Behaviouralist and Service Managers to develop meaningful activities within our service to support our residents. Moving and Handling, PROACT-SCIPr-UK training to use the diversion and distraction approach, care planning, capacity assessments, community assessments and social activity support. Their experience, expertise and input ensure that the people we support receive therapeutic support to lead a safer and independent life.

Sandy Court is a purposefully designed building with 36 single ensuite bedrooms. The Service has three individual units, each hosting 12 ensuite bedrooms, a spacious lounge, large kitchen diners for informal dining, a therapy room, communal bathrooms, communal areas, garden areas. We encourage all the people we support to create their own private, safe space in their room.

Service Manager

Yasmin Khan

Yasmin has extensive experience in Health and Social Care, having worked within the sector since September 2007. Throughout her career, she has gained valuable experience across a wide range of care and support settings, including special needs schools, children’s hospices, learning disabilities, mental health services and residential care.

Yasmin began her career as a Classroom Assistant before progressing to a Support Worker within a respite service. Through her commitment to professional development and gaining relevant qualifications, she progressed to Service Manager and has continued to develop her leadership and management skills throughout her career.

Yasmin has extensive experience supporting people with a wide range of complex health and care needs and has developed a strong understanding of person-centred support. She has also been involved in the commissioning of a new care home, helping to establish a service focused on delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for the people who live there.

Yasmin is passionate about supporting people to live the best life possible and ensuring that care is delivered with dignity, respect, compassion and a strong focus on individual choice. She believes that everyone should be treated equally while recognising and celebrating that every individual is unique, with their own needs, preferences, choices and aspirations.

Her extensive experience, dedication and strong leadership skills reflect her commitment to delivering high-quality care and making a positive difference in the lives of the people she supports.
